    Ilya still loved games in New York, even now, many years into his career and married life and often traveling with a toddler. Hunter had retired last year which made it a little less fun, though that was something that Ilya would never admit unless it was tortured out of him.

    They didn’t always take Zora on away games but she always came with them to New York. It was a fairly easy trip and there were two other specific reasons that Ilya didn’t care to discuss.

    Ilya's heart breaks at his plead. No matter how much it hurt when Shane left or when Ilya saw him with Rose, seeing Shane like this, tears in his eyes, voice cracking, none of it seems to matter.

    "Yes, you can." Ilya's words are steady and sure. He slides one of his hands down to Shane's chest, pressing his palm to his sternum. "Focus on me."

    Or: Shane has a couple of panic attacks (tuna melt and Montreal club) and Ilya helps him through them.
