Summary
The Doctor stood to her feet. She didn’t have a clue what was going on. She had no TARDIS, no sonic, and no friends. However, there was one thing she had in abundance: curiosity. And so, the laugh that made its way out of her was genuine. “Oh, brilliant.”
The Doctor. A Time Lord— no longer the last of her kind. An explorer who travels the universe, finding friends (and sometimes more) to stage off her loneliness, then becomes ever more so when they, inevitably, leave her. Now on her 13th inauguration, The Doctor must unravel conspiracies, fight enemies, detangle mysteries that have plagued her for centuries, and, perhaps most importantly, regain her sense of hope.
All that, and she has to answer one question that burns its way into her heart: Where is Missy?

Nat scoffs. “No.”
“C’mon, it’s fun.”
“I’ll stick to writing songs and not singing them.”
“Come on,” Lottie says, leaning over to nudge Nat’s shoulder. “Singing is a great way to let out pent up feelings.”
Nat nods, watching Van gesture towards the audience of tables filled with other drunk people cheering and singing along, Tai among them, watching with obvious heart eyes.
That’s exactly what I’m afraid of.
