He was looking at the window of the car with a dumb smile. The car he was in belonged to Yosano, his roommate, and sometimes she took him to places when he asked nicely, which he did since he didn't have a license or a car. Even though she accepted his request this time, it was easy to tell that she was not believing his good intentions at all. She was taking him to a church because he volunteered to help with a charity action that happened every Sunday. The thing is, she was right, Ranpo never ever was a religious person, much less wanted to spend his day off standing under the sun, but he did in the last months.

“Which one are we talking about?” Chuuya asked, even though he knew the answer, the brunette always was obsessed with the idea of having him as a pet.
“The ears, the tail and the collars” he began kissing his hands while speaking.

Chuuya sets his groceries on the counter and folds his arms over his chest, looking particularly irritated. “I have plans this morning and they do not involve you whatsoever. Get up, get dressed, and get out. You’re a wild animal. No housetraining whatsoever. If anything, you’re the pet here.”
Dazai snorts. "That's absurd."
"Is it? You're more of a dog than I am."
That makes Dazai stiffen, words dying on his tongue. He scrambles, all his eloquence drying up, leaving him to sputter, "That's- No."
