Grace screamed when he carelessly put his hands in his pockets and it came out bloody, liquid seeping under his nails.
"What is happening?! Where does this blood comes from?!" he shrieked in a high-pitched voice.
Or: Grace has a soulmate. The question is: why are they sending him more and more gruesome things? He doesn't need blood?! And why did a piece of torn cloth appear in the Mary all of the sudden!! Was this a cry of help or a warning his soulmate was about to kill him? Hello, mixed signals here???

It suddenly dawned on him that the voice, wherever it sounded, wasn't that of a woman's.
"You're not Ava..." Simon whispered.
"No, that name doesn't feel right," the voice answered immediately. Clearer and closer to him, as if it was said just beside him.
He jerked to the side and scrambled out of his chair and dashed to towards where the button was, mashing it with the side of his fist. The photo didn't take long, but what he saw was still a dark vastness. A tunnel stretching ahead. Nothing else.
"No, I'm not that either, thank god," the voice said in a light tone
Or: Simon hears a voice while in the SM-13, trapped inside the blood ocean. The speaker is still broken, and there is a man's voice speaking to him. What the hell is going on?

Summary
He pictured Simon behind him pressed all along his back, hot and heavy and breathing like he was barely holding himself together. Simon’s hand over his mouth. Grace wanted it so fucking bad. He wanted Simon wound past thinking, past all that restraint. Wanted Simon’s teeth at his neck and Simon’s hand low on his stomach, holding him still while Grace fell apart against him. He wanted Simon making those broken growling sounds into his skin like Grace was prey, or food, or home, or some fucked-up fourth thing Grace didn’t have a word for.
Grace’s knees bent; he was barely standing.
He bit down on his lip to keep quiet and pushed his fingers deeper.
A low breath came from in front of him.
“Grace.”
His eyes snapped open.
Shit.
