Summary

This story was inspired by the thought of Prince William of Wales (and indeed the current Max von Hapsburg) studying at the University of St Andrews; it is also, as the title suggests, at least a little inspired by the operetta 'The Student Prince'.

::2019 note: This story was written BEFORE the TV show introduced the character of Gwaine. It's not that I can't spell, or that I'm perversely writing him out of character - I incorporated other characters from Arthurian legend (Kay, Gawain etc) into my story, and lacking prophetic abilities, my versions naturally don't mesh with the versions subsequently introduced into the show.::

Surely being seen on TV and winning skating competition after skating competition should pull his soulmate to him rather easily. Right?Katsuki Yuuri has ignored the pain in his back since the first time he caught sight of his soulmate's mark when he was 12. The Great Viktor Nikiforov deserved someone a little more special than a nobody like Yuuri, and until he proved himself, Yuuri was going to keep ignoring the pain, no matter how long it affects his life.

Summary
There was three things everyone knew about Yuuri Katsuki.
One, at the age of fourteen he had broke the Junior's world record with one of the most beautiful performances to ever grace the ice.
Two, he had vanished under the eyes of thousands of people right after the end of his free skate, never to be seen again.
Tree, today in the tenth anniversary of his disappearance, he was found in the same ice he was last seen into, bloody, shaken and with only two words to pronounce, Viktor Nikiforov.
Viktor is conscious that he may be a little bit obsessed with the infamous Katsuki case, even trough that same obsession was the reason behind the success of his now best selling book Yuri on Ice, which was said to be the best investigation to the date about it. That’s why, when he’s called to become a consultant in the reopening of the case, he’s more than eager to participate. But why does the world seem to bend at Yuuri’s whim? Summary
Victor Nikiforov, a highly esteemed operative of a criminal investigations agency, is assigned to the case of the mercenary by the name 'Eros'. They're notoriously elusive, hardly ever leaving a trace, only enough to identify it was them who was there. To pursue Eros' real identity and actually apprehending them seems impossible. Viktor is already busy as it is, and now he has to chase a ghost story to an end he doesn't see. He doesn't expect this to be easy at all.
At least the ice skating instructor who works in the rink across the street is cute.
