Except, things went a little haywire with Pidge's invention and instead of viewing their past selves, they're now living beside them.
So while the two Pidge's put their heads together to figure out a way to send them back to their time, Keith and Lance are faced with the realization that not only did they get cooler when they got older they also got... married?!

He took a deep breath, shaking his head, "This can't be real. There- that-""Excuse me, gentlemen."
Keith felt his blood run cold. His eyes widened, and his throat closed up.
He didn't want to turn around because this couldn't be real. He knew that voice. He knew who was behind him.

Lifting his head to ask just what is so funny, Lance’s words catch in his throat. He blinks when he sees it, almost hoping it will disappear the next time he opens his eyes. But the universe hates him because it remains swinging around Keith’s neck. A golden ring on a thin silver chain, unmistakably a wedding ring.
Something crashes down into Lance’s stomach.

Lance’s eyebrows furrow in concern for a second before his whole face goes gentle and open.
“Hey buddy, everything okay?”
Keith nods. Then shakes his head, then opens his mouth to let out a noisy sob before he’s hugging the air out of Lance, grip vise tight.
Lance hugs him back. That’s one of the great things about him— he doesn’t— he doesn’t need explanations for things like this. He doesn’t make Keith jump through hoops, the way other people might— he’s just— he just knows what Keith needs in times like this. No façades, no posturing.
(Or: the one where Keith is trapped in a time loop. A time loop from hell.)
