The green sea was occasionally broken tall stalks topped with giant white flowers that sprinkled generous amounts of pollen on the cracked concrete. Dazai took a deep breath, the pollen filled his lungs but he didn't care he was finally free, after five years trapped inside sterile white walls, he was home."

- The apocalypse was not sudden it slowly took over the city over 5 or so years (which is why so many people are prepared)
