Denki Kaminari was a mess.
A useless, disgusting, pain in the ass; mess.
But he had a boyfriend.
He’s dying, his body decaying from the inside out, his head filled with poison, his skin filled with scars. His heart is full of doubt, not understanding why Hitoshi is still by his side.
And he doesn’t know why he’s so fucked up to begin with.
“Shinsou,” Bakugo said after stepping out of the couple's bedroom.
“You—“ Bakugo hesitated, “You need to take him to the hospital.”
“I tried; he says he feels safer with me than with strangers at a hospital and doesn’t want to risk any complications with work,” Shinsou's voice cracked a little.
“But he can’t be safe with you if you're not here all the time.”
Shinsou sat on the couch, putting his face in his hands. “I love him, I love him so much, I don’t know what’s wrong with him, I try to help him so much, but he’s not getting better, and I don’t know what to do,” his voice shook, and tears threatened to breach his eyes.
Bakugo had never seen Shinsou, of all people, break down, so he sat next to the distressed man with a sigh. “Hitoshi, you need to realize, your love is not the cure.”
