Ms. Noceda didn't believe him. She was going to hurt Willow and Gus. Hunter gasped for air, only now realizing he hadn't been breathing.
"No, no no no Ma'am it was me," Hunter said, voice ragged.
"Willow and Gu-" she started again.
Hunter dropped to his knees.
"Please, please don't hurt them Ma'am. I can take it, I'll be quiet. I swear it won't happen again, I-"

Summary
They sped upwards. The plan still in place, find Hunter, stop the spell.
However as they reached their destination and saw Hunter, head in the lap of a girl, with gold vains spreading across his body, the emperor above him, looking very, VERY ‘hurt’ the collector added one more item to the list:
Break Philip. FOREVER.
(To be less dramatic, Hunter meets the Collector at a young age, and the bond. The leads to a… different ending to kings tide. Yet somehow just the same.)

Summary
Belos, emperor of the boiling isles, leader of a coven, and crappy excuse for an uncle, was dead.
REALLY dead, this time.
Everyone was tired, and wondering what they would do now. But no one more then Hunter. Who - naturally - thought that everyone would want him to take care of himself. He was wrong. There reverse was true. Every single adult to meet him seemed to want to take care of him. He had -unateraly- burst into tears when they asked him to pick a parent. Because, of course, in his own words 'I didn't think ANYONE would want me!'
(Aka we figure out how Hunter ended up in split custody because HE LIVED WITH EVERYONE-)

Summary
On the trip to Erid, Grace decides to introduce Rocky to the concept of musicals - and decides to perform one for him.
Un(?)fortunately, what Grace wasn't aware of was that this was a very important Eridian courting custom.
Or, in short: Grace basically just asked Rocky out, and he has no idea. Rocky attempts to return the gesture, but for some reason his leaky alien friend isn't picking up on any of his efforts. Shenanigans ensue.

“Grace and Grace-Friend bonding, question?” Rocky’s musical hum began, catching Grace’s attention. Grace blinked at the alien. Rocky had never referred to himself in the third person as anything other than, well, Rocky.
“Aw, yeah, we are bonding, Rocky,” Grace smiled, but the Eridian huffed and stomped in frustration.
“No. Grace stupid. Grace Rocky not bonding. Grace bonding with Friend. Rocky and Friend not bonding.” Grace and Friend?
“Alright, you’re freakin’ me out here. It’s just you and me, pal. Are you sick, Rock?”
Rocky hissed steam and hit the ground again, pacing around in his ball. “No! Rocky perfect! Grace stupid, stupid, stupid! Is Grace sick, question? Grace cannot hear friend, question?”
“Hey, hey, let’s calm down. I can’t hear like you, remember?” Grace reminded, “I can’t see our friend. Do you mind pointing him out for me, pal?”
Rocky tumbled closer in his ball and came to a stop in front of Grace’s legs, pointing a claw at the glass. “There. On back of Grace shirt.”

She's been staring at the footage for over an hour today, the chase playing on a loop as it had in the days since it happened, Grace's bright yellow jacket a beacon in the blurs of gray buildings, black coats, and dull green grass. She stares at it for so long that it becomes the only thing she sees in her dreams anymore.

Summary
Grace is sick. He doesn't want to admit it. He doesn't want to be a burden. So he hides it and tells himself he just needs to finish one more tablet.
But Simon has spent months learning to read Grace the way Grace read him. And when Simon finds Grace's abandoned thermal blanket and follows the trail of sniffles to a shivering, feverish scientist who can't stop apologizing for feeling things.
"I've got you" Simon says, pulling Grace into his arms.
