Just when Varric thought it couldn't get any worse, he finds himself not at the Maker's side, but rather trapped in a nightmare, where he is forced to relive his many regrets over and over for all eternity. But he soon realized he's not alone in this place. There's someone else here, someone who is at the center of his worst regrets, someone he would do anything to spend the rest of his days with... and against all reason, she's still alive. Varric may be trapped here forever, but at least he might be able to help the woman loves get her happy ending. And maybe, just maybe, he'll finally get to tell her what he was never strong enough to say the first time around.

Summary
After the Siege of Adamant and before the summons to the Winter Palace, the Inquisition gets a moment where Thedas isn't in active crisis. During that downtime the Inquisitor sets her sights on another daunting task: courting Cullen Rutherford, commander of the Inquisition's forces.
But courting him would involve admitting she has feelings for him, and Reina Trevelyan isn't quite ready to do that. Nor is she ready to admit that lately, she's wondered how Cullen would look with a bit more meat on his bones.
The main plot of this fic is done! Chapter 10 and onwards will be extra scenes and drabbles, and they'll make more sense if you've read chapters 1-9, but it won't be required reading for most of them.
