So surely when she hijacks Enid’s taxi mid-papaparazzi chase, she gets caught, right?
Well, no.
Because Enid Sinclair has zero bloody clue who the hell Wednesday Addams is. All she knows is that “Wilhelmina Frump” is beautiful, interesting, and morbidly flirty.
That is, until the washed-up actress appears in her doorway a week later with nowhere to go and Kent screams.

"I need you to pretend to be my…lover.” She tries not to choke on the word.
Wednesday expected Enid to yelp or freeze in shock, perhaps even an astonished scream. What she gets is Enid’s bumbling laughter, almost hysterical in nature. So she stands entirely too still until her friend leans down to hold her stomach and gather her breath.
“Are you done?” She asks after a while.
Enid nods, still having trouble breathing. “Sorry,” she giggles a little and turns her head up to look at Wednesday, the tears in her eyes now made of mirth instead of sorrow. “It’s just…it looked like that was so hard for you to say.”

Summary
When Weems suggests (forces) Wednesday to tutor Enid in exchange for weathervane trips which will aid the solving of her newest murder discoveries, she accepts all terms. Just a bit of the worst kind of torture to endure for her gripping case.
The only issue is....perhaps the torture starts to become enjoyable. And maybe somewhere along the road, they began studying less herbology and more of each other. And that case too.Wednesday Addams learns that some people don't need to pry their way to your heart. You hand it to them willingly.

Summary
Six years after Nevermore, Enid Sinclair has made a life in London: fashion school, chosen family, a flat full of fabric, and an elderly rescue dog who looks like a depressed horse with the eyes of a bankrupt widower.
She also has a very private, very normal, very adult habit of internet stalking Wednesday Addams—her Nevermore ex-something.
Wednesday, unfortunately, has become impossible to ignore: bestselling crime novelist, viral interview subject, dark academia darling, and newly announced guest lecturer at Enid’s university.

Summary
“How have I not noticed all evening how divine your scent is?” She leans lower to bury her nose into Enid’s neck. Her hand smooths down Enid’s face until Wednesday hooks her thumb on the other side of her jaw for enough leverage to wrench her head to the side.
“This was my vision,” Enid says sagely some time later.
By now, Wednesday can barely open her eyes against the onslaught of pain, but she peers up at Enid. “Your...vision?”
Despite the situation at hand, Enid shrugs unhelpfully. “Tried to tell you,” she says in a sing-song voice. “I had a vision of this very moment earlier.”
Wednesday groans through gritted teeth but it ends on a helpless whimper that calls to Enid. “And what is this very moment?” she grits through her teeth.
“Isn’t it obvious?” Enid glances down to the strain beneath the zipper of Wednesday’s pants. “You’re in rut, Wednesday.”

What a weird little specimen, Enid thought. I’m going to keep her. As they left, she grabbed the (almost) stranger's hand.
Wednesday’s whole body stiffened. “What are you doing?”
Yes, what are you doing, Enid? You don’t even know her. But somehow, it just felt right. Maybe it’s the shots. “Just in case that guy is lingering. You said you’re my girlfriend, remember?” Another smile, a shy glance at Wednesday. Her grip loosened a little, just in case.
