Summary
Jinx was supposed to die. But, in her own words, she just can't seem to, even with the help of a Hexgate. Now she's adrift in an unfamiliar world - free, but with the weight of loss still heavy upon her shoulders. Maybe she's meant to forge a new path, but she doesn't have the faintest clue where to begin.
Lux has too many problems. She's estranged from her home, struggling to keep her people from being caught in the crossfire of a raging rebellion, fighting an uphill battle with her own mind, and now on top of everything, the gods decided to drop a certain blue-haired menace right into her lap.
But maybe, just maybe, they are both right where they need to be.

Summary
Celine was put in an impossible situation. Run the Sunlight Sisters record label, try to keep demons out of the world in the absence of two hunters, and raise a child that wasn't hers, all on her own.
Oh, and of course, just to add to the difficulty of her situation, the kid is half demon. She's lucky she's so stinking cute.

I've seen so many stories completely villainizing Celine, which I'm totally interested in exploring don't get me wrong, but I also disagree that that's how she is in canon. She's a lot more complex than that, I think. That being said, this ALSO isn't based on canon. This is Celine doing a better job at being the parent Rumi needed.
Also note that the first chapter is a prologue and not really in the style that the rest of the fic will be written in, it's just like that for atmosphere!

Dr Reveck needed one last puzzle piece to complete his research. Even though his last specimen was used in the army of his pupil. A little doll was left behind in the remains of the commune. With it and an old shimmer strain, he could finalize his work.
Curiously, this doll didn't disappear like the others. It woke up, without memories, only with a primal urge to follow a blue haired girl. It didn't know who she was, but it had nowhere else to go. So it decided to follow a shimmering trail, hoping it could lead it somewhere it can call home.
