Summary
Hank and Connor, after the events at Cyberlife Tower, follow the evacuation order still in effect and leave Detroit. Fearing for Connor’s life, they stay away and settle down with Sumo, falling in love in the process. Hank can’t believe he’s been so lucky to not only survive the gunshot wound he’d sustained, but also date someone who’s so far out of his league they’re not even playing the same game.
And then one day an RK800 knocks on their door and claims that he’s Connor, and that the android Hank has been living with is Model 60.

Summary
“I’ve been thinking a lot about the nature of open endings since I read your book,” Connor tells Hank, staring at his folded hands in his lap.
Hank shifts in his seat to look at him. “Yeah?”
Connor nods. “About how sometimes things look one way, but they can be something else. And about how things keep going after the story ends.” He glances over at Hank, shrugging. “It makes everything seem less final when you think of it like that.”

After the revolution, Hank and Connor get together. But they both have their own burdens, and they don't know how to heal together.
So they break up. Connor goes to D.C., and Hank gets back into writing, an old high school hobby, and publishes a book almost through happenstance.
And two years later, they reconnect in D.C., the first stop on Hank's book tour, and discover that their own ending doesn't have to be nearly so final.

Jack kills Mabry, finds out the Horsemen are actually alive, and proceeds to have a breakdown. Dylan reframes the picture--after all, when it comes to ensuring their team stays alive, ruthlessness is more of a gift than a curse.
