Summary
This work is based of Ōoku: The Inner Chambers and set in an alternate timeline where a disease has substantially decreased the male population. This results in women managing most households, performing (occupational) physical labor and taking over for men of royal positions. It becomes commonplace for royal women to build "seed stock" and house a variety of male concubines to ensure lines of succession.
This work takes place in the fictional country of Rahu, which has only recently become governed by 3 prominent families of different regions instead of one. Each book of this series will focus on a different royal family and their concubines. The country draws inspiration from the Middle East and North Africa - please be gentle, as I'm not a historian!
Please keep in mind that the time period is within the 1600s so there is a general trigger warning for content such as forced/arranged marriages, child brides, sexual assault, miscarriages and war. I will do my best to include specific trigger warnings before chapters. Additional tags will be added throughout, especially once we start getting to the smutty bits (:

Summary
For the past 7 years, Iridium, the uniquely talented band straight out of Pelican Town has been skyrocketing towards success and stardom. True fans remember the band in their heyday: the wildly outspoken drummer, Abigail; brooding and mysterious keyboardist, Sebastian; Sam, the teasingly charming guitarist, and Juno, their poetic and funky lead singer and bassist. When the poor health of a father pulls one member from Zuzu City and back to Pelican Town, the band is forced to take hiatus, conveniently before the release of their third studio album. In the midst of struggling to decide whether or not to find a member replacement, or just take some time off for themselves, they’re called back to the Valley after the abrupt death of a friend, which forces their star to come crashing down to a burning halt.
