Crowley does not understand how Aziraphale could leave him for Heaven, but Aziraphale does not understand how Crowley could turn down a position in Heaven.
During the months of avoiding each other and repressing their feelings, Aziraphale and Crowley wrap up a sweet, amateur bookseller in their drama.

Summary
In Regency London, a particularly cold and disgruntled demon makes a visit to his angel opposite number to see if he can find out what the Heaven is happening to the weather, and indeed, if Heaven is responsible for the endless cold and rain. Once at the bookshop, both Aziraphale and Crowley get comfortable and, through the haze of alcohol, remember a similarly chilly season, five hundred years before.
A soft story of comfort given and received between two people who really shouldn’t be together, but desperately want to, and do what they can to make that happen. Mostly book canon with some show elements included. No mention of S2 or the Finale.
