Summary
House didn’t believe in powers of the universe or divine intervention, but when the beautiful young man he had been eyeing for the past two days got hauled off to the Orleans Parish jail in handcuffs, House considered reshaping his entire worldview. Maybe there was a god, and maybe he wanted House to meet those deep brown eyes and perfect cheekbones.
“I took care of it,” House said.
“Why?” he asked, sounding more annoyed than grateful.
“Why?” House repeated. He stopped and turned toward the man, did a onceover from head to toe. He then said, “I’m at a mind-numbingly boring conference. In the past 48 hours, you’re the only person here that’s kept my attention for longer than 30 seconds.”
The man raised an impossibly bushy eyebrow at him. “Are you hitting on me?”

Or, House and Wilson have been together the entire time.

Summary
It's 1995, the young Dr. James Wilson (28) has spent his entire career playing by the rules—long hours, endless sacrifices, and doing whatever it takes to impress his demanding boss, Dr. Moore. But when his marriage crumbles and leaves him with nowhere to go, an unlikely offer from Dr. Gregory House (36)—Princeton-Plainsboro’s brilliant and insufferable head diagnostician—throws his life into chaos.
At first, living with House is nothing more than a temporary arrangement, a necessary evil after his divorce. But, as Wilson pushes himself harder than ever to secure his future as the next Head of Oncology, House becomes an irritating, unpredictable force in his life—mocking him, challenging him, noticing him.
Tension escalates, emotions fray, Wilson is forced to confront the truth: the life he’s been trying to build isn’t the one he actually wants—and House, infuriating as he is, might just be the only person who sees him for who he really is.
(DISCLAIMER: Dead Poet's Society is merely used to help with piecing together Wilson's past, characters and places are mentioned but they are never fully introduced. Sorry to actual Dead Poet's Society fans lol)
