When Lucifer fell, he wasn't alone.
[Y/N] Pyrebloom, a fellow seraphim, was by his side, swayed by his ideas and knowledge and when presented with Heaven's hypocrisy and lies, chose to follow him to the depths below. She stayed loyal to her friend, and over time became his right-hand to the throne of Hell and adopted a knack for torture when she needed to get her way. Needless to say, she was bound to get kicked out of Heaven eventually.
When the annual post-extermination day ball rolls around, [Y/N] finds herself in the usual spectacles of extravagancy and light that is the gala, with Overlords, Deadly Sins, and other high-class Denizens of Hell alike all dressed in ritzy suits and ties and over-the-top, sparkling ball gowns. What she didn't expect, however, was to come across a certain classy burgundy-and-ebony-haired Overlord who seemed to delight in the pain her presence brought him. She knew him. It was her he had sold his soul to.

It really surprised him.
Wired eyes with pinprick pupils staring into the harsh blue light of his computer screen in the office, looking through your file, figuring as much of you out as possible without even having to be near you. Not that he didn't want to be near you. Oh, he very much did. But he had no real reason to be, you were just the intelligence officer, a quiet girl, absorbed in paperwork, rubbing your temples when you worked too late. And you always worked late.
That's when it had started.

Y/N is a "foreigner" in the Clover Kingdom. This story is pre-Asta, some characters act different than they do in the original work, generally pretty canon in magical abilities though you are of course the exception, and there are mentions of a past BAD relationship.
