The crack.
Over and over, looping, relentless.
Damian’s eyes staring at him, empty and lifeless.
“You never said you’d come find me.” A voice too similar to Damian's whisper in Jon's head.
Jon jerks upright. The room is silent. Empty. And yet. He drops his head into his hands, fingers digging into his hair hard enough to hurt.
It doesn’t though, it doesn't hurt enough. Nothing ever hurts enough.
