”Hm, well, welcome to Hawkins!”
”Thanks…” Mike turns toward Will again, with that damn smile, and will has to turn away yet again to stop himself from staring. Out of his peripheral vision he sees Mike making his way over.
shit, shit, shit, he must have saw me staring. He probably thinks I’m a creep. I am a creep, such a fucking weirdo-
“Hi,” Mike sits down across from will in his booth, with that smile on his face. “Hi…?” Will says confused. “I saw you staring, so I thought I might as well come over a say hi.” Mike shrugs with a playful expression on his face. He offers his right hand out, “I’m Mike, Mike Wheeler.” Will takes it, feeling the rough callus on his palm and fingers. “Will, Will Byers.” The hand shake goes on for a little too long, but it seems like neither want the pull away. Eventually they mutually separate their hands, their fingers catching together in the process.
”Sorry for staring, I just- I’ve never seen you around before.”
”It’s ok, honestly, I just moved here last week so that’s why.”
