Summary
Some people have the ability to occasionally see and dream of red threads of fate. Light Yagami can't even imagine himself being happy with a soulmate, until, while working on a case, he meets the great detective L.

Light noted the accent, perfect, that he had expected to sound foreign. He noted the polite tone, the way it translated despite the synthesized voice. He noted the usage of first person. "I’m going to solve this case". He and he alone, as if the room hanging on to his words were mere side characters. Light found himself offended for a second. A second later, he was pleased by the idea. L, the lone paragon of justice, was as egotistical as any other. He smiled at it like it was a private joke.

Summary
Light Yagami's plan was flawless, all he needed to do was trust his innocent self to tell the truth. what he didn't consider was the amount of trauma he might go through, and who would help him deal with it.
Or Light Yagami is sad and gay, he gets PTSD from his father trying to shoot him. L isn't interested in helping Light- no, not at all, he's only helping him to try and uncover all of his lies, he will never grow to actually care for the boy, L doesn't do things like that...
(this is probably going to be very slow burn-ey so if you don't like things that drag on this may not be for you!)
