They didn't move to separate rooms. The cabin only had one bed, and neither was willing to let the other out of their peripheral vision.
They lay on top of the covers, fully dressed but for their shoes. The air was freezing, their bodies the only source of heat. Will turned on his side, facing Hannibal. The silence was no longer empty, it was heavy with the weight of everything unsaid.

hannibal carries will home after the events at muskrat farm. he's hopeful for the future but doesn't know what to expect. when will wakes up and instructs him to start packing, he does so without question. the two head for graham's family cabin: a respite in the deep south where they can make their next plans. they both have to survive a long road trip on the run from authorities and this leads to them facing what they've both been ignoring for so long. will they kill each other or eat one another whole? only one way to test the theory.
