Summary
In a misguided effort to heal the bitter divide in his family, King Viserys marries an unwilling Aemond and Lucerys off to one another before the Dance of the Dragons. It doesn't work. When Aemond is captured and brought to the Red Keep after Rhaenyra's victory, they find that the marriage is much harder to put aside than anybody could have imagined.

Before Aemond left the room, Mother held Rhaenyra's arm and hand, softer than any touch she ever gave to her own children, caressed the scar she gave his sister the same night Aemond got his own, and asked her to stay. You've only just arrived.
People say that jealousy was the color green. But in Aemond's opinion, so was hypocrisy.
He says, softly, “Oh, Mother, but that's all I am.” before leaving the room.
