Gojo stares at him like a deer caught in the headlights of an eighteen-wheeler, and Nanami feels like it's far too late to stomp on the brakes. He lets the silence linger, makes no efforts to smoothen things out or divert them into a more agreeable topic. Certainly there's an element of vengefulness at play; why must Gojo be the only one allowed to make intrusive questions?
"Done what?" Gojo asks, and Nanami snorts.
"Had sex," he says, and tilts his head at Gojo. He's seeing him in a different light, all of a sudden.

There’s an entire religion in the man who sleeps so peacefully, and Satoru finds his faith in the simple devotion of being close, the silence a prayer and a half-said blessing. He reaches out and runs his fingers through Nanami’s blond hair, feeling the soft strands intertwine with his touch. He thinks of him mostly as his chance for peace — the only one that’s ever appeared in this life of overworked retinas.

“You’ve got so many knots tonight, Kento,” Yu commented, and though Kento couldn’t see him, he was sure Yu was frowning. “You gotta tell me when it starts to get this bad, okay?”
“I didn’t want to worry you.”
I didn’t want to bother you.
“You’re my best friend, Kento. I’m always gonna worry about you,” Yu replied easily, pushing into his muscles even harder and damn, that felt amazing; Yu really was good at giving massages. “I don’t like seeing you in pain.”
Kento sucked in a breath, then coughed, trying to play it off as a tic. How was Yu able to be so open with him? How was he able to share what’s in his heart? Hell, Kento can’t even say I love you. He has to rely on don't be stupid and be careful to get the message across.
Sometimes, he wished he were more like Yu.
So, Kento passed him another orange.

“Nanami-kun!” Shouko cooed, her hands clamped like a vice around his face, just brushing against his ears, with her cold fingers. If he shivered, it was only a bit. Her big doe eyes studied his tongue intently.
He was vaguely aware of her obsession with his piercings. It seemed like he never escaped a conversation with Shouko without a mention of one of his piercings, old or new. The one he was currently showing her (a tongue piercing with a silver barbell), wasn’t new by any means. He'd gotten it done over the summer break before coming to the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College, but this appeared to be Shouko’s first time seeing it, and she looked to be positively enamored with it.
She shuffled forward on her knees to get a better look, and Nanami swore that if she adjusted her position anymore, she’d end up with her head in his mouth. “I can’t believe I’ve never seen this!” One hand leisurely made its way from the side of his face to his chin, while the other dragged to the back of his head, resting on the top of his spine. “You can’t be hiding things from your senpai,” she teased, her voice laced with satire.

“Can I be your family?” he asked, tone solemn.
The words took a few moments to register in Satoru’s head, during which precious moments, he finally stopped crying. Instead, he stared in awe at this stranger, of whom Satoru only knew one thing: his name, and who was offering him everything he’d ever wanted.
A bottle crashed in the background, and it made him startle. His legs had grown numb from crouching for such a long time and he needed to concentrate not to fall back on his ass in this gross alleyway.
“…What’s the catch?” the mistrusting side of him asked, tone covered in barbs, with a squinted look on his face. Stupid! the needy side screamed. Just say yes!
Kento’s expression didn’t shift much, and didn’t show a sign that he was offended by Satoru instantly assuming he was going to scam him. “There’s no catch.” He let out a small exhale. “Just…forever.”
Or: Gojo Satoru is a runaway omega who wants, more than anything in the world, to have a family of his own. When he's approached by a concerned stranger, the last thing he expects is to be offered one.
