Like a puppy with her tail between her legs, Santos followed silently as Garcia guided them to a (mostly) vacant hallway, passing by Princess, who only smirked at her, and it was then that Santos knew how truly fucked she was.
Alone now, Garcia turned to Santos, her arms folded. “You better have a fucking bulletproof explanation.”
“I–” Trinity started. “I, um–” Oh god.
“What the fuck was that? Just because I needed a rain check?”
Santos could only stare dumbly.
“Jesus,” Garcia shook her head. “I thought you knew what this was.”

“Great.” She takes another draw of her vape, forcing herself to focus on the overwhelming sweetness of sour watermelon rather than the thinly-veiled needle of irritation that pulses through Yolanda’s words. “So, you’re not gonna charge me fifty bucks for a two mile drive, then?”
A sigh. If she closes her eyes, she can picture her expression: brow pinched, jaw clenched, neck vein activated. She’s probably rubbing at the bridge of her nose right now, exasperated as she always seems to be when Trinity’s involved these days.

“What?” She stared at Javadi, trying to figure out if maybe the other woman had finally grown a backbone and decided to start fucking with Trinity.
“Well, the two of you always come in together and you leave together and you bicker all the time…” Javadi trailed off, glancing between them.
Unable to stop herself, Trinity began laughing. Cackling, really. A loud, snorting laugh that she hadn’t heard from herself in ages.
“It’s not that funny,” Whitaker said with a long-suffering look on his sad little face.
“I’m a lesbian, crash. That’s why it’s funny. He’s my roommate. My very platonic roommate.”
“You haven’t noticed her whole thing with Doctor Garcia?” Whitaker said, clear retribution for Trinity’s laughing spell. “Everyone’s been talking about it.”

After countless nights of begging and pleading, Enid finally convinced Wednesday to get a Nintendo Switch. She was determined to find a piece of modern technology Wednesday Adams would actually enjoy. Enid introduced her to her own favorites; Minecraft, Mario, Pokémon, Animal Crossing, etc. Surprisingly, Wednesday took a liking to the simple farming game; Stardew Valley. Perhaps too much of a liking.
