The woman tells her about demons, and about hunters. The woman tells her that her life will finally have a purpose; To help the hunters train. That perhaps Rumi can redeem her soul from an afterlife in the underworld with Gwi-Ma
Mira and Zoey have never met a demon before, much less one that looks more like them than the demons Celine described. Zoey grows increasingly curious about the demon girl, and where Celine keeps her. Mira, who just can't say no to Zoey entertains her desire to learn more about the demon living amongst them.

Summary
She would describe her own album as anger, hunger, craving, and need, the lyrics and the dancing pouring out of her to express feelings that she couldn't any other way.
Zoey's was fast and hot and chaotic but Mira had described it to herself as raw. Raw and angry, a cry for help and understanding.
Rumi's was all lonely and longing, a plea to be loved for all that she was and Mira hadn't understood why until after — after she'd learned the truth.

Once upon a time, Rumi spent every waking moment worrying that Mira and Zoey would catch a glance of a purple jagged line on her skin. She hid those purple lines for years under hoodies, long-sleeve shirts, and jackets. It hurt to hide from the two people she loved most in the world. It hurt even more to pretend that she was just fine, thanks for asking, when she had to walk away from a fight while bleeding under her hoodie.

Summary
When Mira blocks an attack, it knocks her to her knees. Her pants soak up some of Rumi’s blood from the puddle on the pavement. The demon keeps pressing in with its shabby baseball bat, but Mira’s overhead block with the shaft of her gok-do is strong.
“Mira!” Zoey calls.
When Mira looks at her, Zoey sees every ounce of exhaustion on her face. It’s a silent plea for help - Mira’s going to be on the ground like Rumi soon if Zoey continues to stand there helplessly. Rumi’s just fighting to stay conscious, her saingeom abandoned on the ground and coated in her own blood.
The anger that so suddenly fled Zoey’s mind returns tenfold.
Her girlfriends need her.
