Nicholas always got antsy when they were somewhere new, and Nicky couldn’t blame him. So many different houses, so many different people, so many different ways to disappoint and get into trouble. So many different rules, so many bruises and days without food, arguments and drugs, alcohol and hands where they’re not supposed to be. Nicky was usually the one to take the reins on days like this, being sent to a new foster home. They had been placed in one before for a few weeks until one who was semi-permanent opened up, and because the group home in San Dimas was full, they had no other choice but to shove him at any random foster parent who would take them. Mrs. Dell was a bitch. Is what Nick said, mumbling beneath his breath while he paced their mind. Nicky tended to tune Nick and Nicholas out when he was in control, because they always somehow devolved into an argument that would make the migraines worse.

“What?” You ask, a knee-jerk reaction, overcome with shock that she would ask anything of you after everything you’ve done.
“Th- ugh, never mind, it doesn’t matter,” Her gaze drops to the pouch in her hands, fingers fiddling with its thick, plasticky edges, pinching at the places where it’s sealed and watching the last stubborn dregs of blood shy away from the pressure she applies.
“I wish I could tell you it does, Scary.”
Or: When newly-Turned Scary starves herself from blood to the point of illness, it's up to Terry to help her recover and help her gain her footing in the new, monstrous world in which she now finds herself.

Nicky always woke up ahead of Terry. He wasn’t sure if Nicky simply required less sleep as a demon or if he was dealing with some kind of insomnia, but whenever Terry got up, Nicky was already out of bed and shuffling around their apartment. Texting Jodie, making breakfast, humming to himself as he got dressed, he was always awake and always doing something, no matter how late into the night the two of them had been whispering at each other.
It wasn’t a surprise to wake up to the sound of Nicky moving, to say the least, but Terry was taken off guard by the fact that he could still feel his weight in the bed.
