Summary
When Izumi was four, she didn't get her Quirk. For almost a year. Her parents constantly argued over it, the other kids made fun of her at school, and even Kacchan was getting impatient. One day, she was lying in bed to muffle the shouting match of her parents, and started praying. Made a wish.
“Please, whoever is listening. Just give me a Quirk. It can be weak, I’ll train myself to death to master it. I’ll deal with it being unpalatable. Just please.” Her voice shuddered as she went silent.
“Even if it’s a curse, I’ll take it.” She whispered into her pillow.
Well. Who knew fate could be this petty?

Summary
Midoriya Izumi wanted to be a hero like her Mama, but her Mama couldn't even fathom that idea without falling apart. Izumi didn't understand why Mama cried so much. Then, Mama disappeared. Years later, Izumi stands in the courtyard of UA, determined to become a hero. Maybe then she could find out what really happened to Mama. Maybe then she could become a hero just like Mama. With support from Mom and her childhood friend Kacchan, she WILL become a hero.

Summary
Izuku Midoriya had given up, abandoned by society, family, friend, educators, peers and when the last beacon of hope; the Number One hero of Japan told him to give up. It was all to much for him, the last bit of resolve broke. In a society where the measure of a person begins with their quirk how does one measure a quirkless boy with a dream of being a hero.
There upon the rooftop he made his decision to follow the advice of his most prominent tormentor. “Take a swan dive off the roof and hope for a quirk in the next life.” There on the ledge of the building he was left on he closed his eyes and let it all go.
The Phoenix Force had other plans, it had burned this world over 20 times before and was ready to do so again, then it saw him fall. It would give him another chance, a chance to be a hero and change the world. To guide it to a new era, to push it further instead of the stagnant cesspool it had become.
He would die, consumed by the fires of the Phoenix to be reborn, given the power to change the world. And change the world he must, either that or burn it all down to start again.
