A rough emergency landing of the Ottawa Centaurs' plane in Tampa, Florida makes national headlines.
With Ilya's phone lost in the chaos, Shane has no way of finding out if Ilya is injured - or how injured. So he makes his way to Tampa.
Or: The plane crash/incident in the long game but a rougher landing, more injuries (no significant/long-lasting harm), and Shane running to Tampa to see Ilya.
Story and Chapter titles are lyrics of the song 'Sleepwalking' by All Time Low that gave me the inspiration for this fic!
First half of the story will be Angsty hurt/comfort, second half will be the comfort part of hurt/comfort with a dose of crack.

Summary
Immediately follows the fight on Boxing Day, where Ilya tells Shane to leave. To please go home.
After seeking advice from a trusted friend, Shane returns to make things right between them.
Truths will be revealed, exposing the cracks in their relationship that Shane hasn't seen and Ilya hasn't wanted to reveal; forcing hard conversations and even harder decisions.
Is love enough to keep them together? If so, what needs to change? Will anything stay the same?
The biggest question Shane asks himself as they wade through years of miscommunication and hurt is 'Where do we go from here?'

Summary
“Uh,” he says, looking up from his screen and feeling his ears go hot, realizing for the first time that this habit of his hasn’t actually come up before until this exact moment.
“What?” Rozanov asks, sounding more amused than anything else. “You are one of the people who does Instagram for food now?”
“No,” Shane says, stalling between answering and finishing his Snap so he can send it to Melissa, “one sec.” He finishes typing out 'Tuna melt. Chips. Pickles. It smells really good. Swiss cheese, I think.' before he looks back to Rozanov, putting his phone facedown on the coffee table. “Just sending it to someone on the staff. She likes knowing what I’m eating.”
He doesn’t know if Melissa likes knowing what he’s eating, per se, but she also seems pleased when he talks about enjoying food for things beyond how many grams of protein it has in it.
“Ah,” Rozanov says, in a tone Shane can’t quite read. “You always send her your food then, this girl?”
