The feeling of greasy feathers mingling in with clean ones almost made him gag.
It was too much.
Dabi raised an eyebrow, watching his feathers cautiously. “Is this all, birdie? Or did you forget what I asked of you?”
Hawks paused.
Shit.
“Dammnn,” He scoffed, moving to behind Dabi. Slumping an arm over his shoulder and neck as if the other was his best friend, Hawks flashed a laid-back grin at the other.
Dabi stiffened at the touch, warning sparks flickering from his hands.
Hawks only spread his wings (greasy, greasy, ew ew ew he could feel it moving get it off) out, his left wing curling in around Dabi — a challenge, but also a promise.
I'm not afraid of you, it spoke.
“I kinda forgot it,” Hawks shrugged, ”But don't you worry your pretty head! I’ll get it next time, hotstuff.”

He’d be more upset if he didn’t taste so fucking good.
