“Yes,” Komaeda says bitterly. “‘Me included.’”
This time, Hinata pulls away his hand and looks up. Komaeda isn’t looking back at him, face red like it has been rubbed raw. He is far too open, far too honest, and Hinata keeps pushing through barbed wire with bare hands in the hopes that he’ll find something, that piece of himself that Komaeda keeps hidden, something shaky and stumbling in the light of day.
Komaeda goes missing for a morning. It shouldn't matter. And then it does.
In which Komaeda has the emotional intelligence of roadkill, military bases have more than one use, and absolutely no one is any help at all.

A salty Future Foundation agent coming to inspect strange occurances in Towa City, and a strange local detective are chained together by a robot bear that seems to really like BL, in the middle of a city contained apocalypse with only two modified megaphones to defend themselves against an army of said robot bears, plus an awful score system to progress like a bad video game.

“Komaeda,” Hinata says — and no, it’s actually Kamukura, Nagito can see the red eyes when he’s pushed away, held at an arm’s length, forced to look at the man in front of him. He’s struggling, that much is obvious.
He still looks bored, disinterested, but, if Nagito didn’t know better, he’d say Kamukura looks a little guilty. Of what, Nagito has no idea. His words are a little softer from the usual monotone. “It was not my intention to upset you. I apologize.”

Komaeda kept smiling as he tapped his fingers on the mattress, watching the faint light from the window catch on his nails. "You've put up with my presence for so many nights, I'm starting to wonder about your state of mind, Hinata-kun."
Hinata stared at the ceiling, unsure how to respond. He'd had similar thoughts, truthfully, but it didn't seem appropriate to agree. Komaeda didn't let the silence sit for long.
"Even for me, I'm probably pushing my luck," He laughed a little at his own personal joke, "But may I ask for a special favor tonight, Hinata-kun?"
