The world seemed to narrow down to just the two of them. Soren felt a flutter of panic mixed with something warm, something he couldn’t ignore as their eyes met. He stammered in a panic, “I… I didn’t expect to find you here…”
The panic in both Soren’s voice and face made Corvus get up. “I can leave…”
“No!” The word shot out of Soren before he could stop it, his heart leaping. Corvus froze and then sat back down, studying Soren with a cautious, almost hopeful look. Soren swallowed, walking towards Corvus. The silence thickened around them. “I want you…” He placed his hand on Corvus’s arm, feeling the warmth of Corvus’s skin so clearly. “To stay,” he finished, his voice barely a whisper.
Their eyes were glued together as Soren sat down next to Corvus. Soren could feel his pulse raging as he took a slow, shaky breath. His gaze drifted down to Corvus’s lips, and he leaned in, heart pounding. “Can I try…?” he murmured, the words tumbling out before he could stop himself. But halfway through, he hesitated.Series

Rated M as of chapter 23. Eventual slash. Everyone thought the end would be quick - they'd blink and the world would be gone. But the end was anything but quick - it was a slow burn that ate and ate at humanity until there was nothing left except fear, loss, and hatred. Just ask Alec - all he wants is his damn knife back, but a fellow survivor is making that rather difficult. Two survivors, one shrouded in mystery, the other haunted by guilt. Together, can they find a strange sort of happiness in the wreckage of the end of the world? Summary
Micah Swaeler doesn't fit in. Anywhere. His family hardly speaks to him, his friends come and go, and he can't quite figure out how to love somebody. Or how to be loved.
Until he does. And when he does, he learns how much support he's had all along.
Micah's story is told in a series of short stories that take place from the time he is four until the time he is thirty-four. While the stories go back and forth through time, each one reveals something more about things that have happened to him, things that he's done, things that he's told himself. Each story explores identity through family, athletics, friendship, sexuality, of one man's transition from being a victim to being a survivor.
Eventual HEA for a slightly broken, definitely imperfect guy who is kind of lovely. Bisexual love and sex stories interspersed throughout.
