Summary

At first, Seonghwa was scared. Or at least, he should have been scared. And he was, the first couple of times. He almost considered calling the police. But the more the stranger kept showing up without getting closer, the more Seonghwa’s fear dissolved into curiosity. And confusion.
Something about those eyes, the way they look soft but intense, quiet but loud. A few times, Seonghwa has taken a peek through the curtains of his bedroom, just to check if he’s still being watched.
He’s there. Staring up at Seonghwa’s apartment.

If someone asked Yunho what the relationship between him and Seonghwa is, Yunho wouldn't know what to name it. Seonghwa never stays, Seonghwa always leaves as suddenly as he appears. They never agreed to be anything, so Yunho has no answer to give.
But when Seonghwa is here with him, everything is just…effortless. Seonghwa is untouchable, slipping through Yunho’s fingers like grains of sand. The joy of having him around is as intense as the pain of his absence when he walks out that door.
Yunho doesn’t know what it is. He doesn’t really know who Seonghwa is, if that’s even his real name or not. There are many alarm bells when it comes to Seonghwa. Seonghwa is a stranger but also, he’s not.

“First rule in this place.” Yunho speaks again, his tone dangerously calm. “You don’t hurt Yeosang in any way. You don’t ruin Yeosang’s belongings. You do nothing that will make him sad. If he wants to talk to you, you listen, you don’t dismiss him.”

“You know what they say about you.”
Seonghwa raised an eyebrow, both amused and intrigued. There was a playful glint in his eyes. “They say many things about me. Which one are you referring to?”
Yunho couldn’t help but sit up straight, his heart racing in his chest. “You are the one that kingdoms would rise and fall for. Men would eagerly go to war if it meant winning a moment with you.”
Seonghwa seemed fascinated by that statement. He sat up as well. “And you, Yunho?” he asked, leaning closer. He still sounded playful, but also probing. “Would you go to war for me?”

Summary
When he’s finally ready to sleep, his feet carry him on their own. Not to his bedroom, but to Yunho’s instead.
It’s a common occurrence by now. Seonghwa doesn’t do it every night, but he does sleep here at least half the nights of the week, particularly when he’s very tired. If he's still awake, Yunho always welcomes him with the same sweet smile. If he's not, it doesn't change anything, because he's told Seonghwa he's free to come in no matter how late it is.

Seonghwa brings his own face closer to Yunho’s, until Yunho can feel his breath hot on his face. Every muscle in his body has turned into stone; maybe his heart isn’t even beating.
Seonghwa tilts his head once more. “So now I can’t help but wonder…you must have had another brilliant plan in your mind about what to do after taking me out. Care to share? What was your next move?”
Escaping this hellhole. Only, he’s met with the harsh reality of his miserable failure.

“You carry the smell of sin.” His voice is like velvet, just a little deep and hoarse at the end. His words should scare Yunho, yet somehow, they don’t. It is the intensity of his gaze that both intrigues and unnerves him.
“You are a sin.” Yunho protests, his own voice a little raspy, too. “Devil’s creatures, all of you. Do you even have a name?”
Something flickers in those eyes. It’s almost as if they are looking deep into Yunho’s soul, uncovering every secret and flaw of his. “Seonghwa.”

Ace looks at him. His stare, so loving that it makes Michinaga feel hot at the back of his neck and ears. He hates this. He wishes he could rip Ace’s eyes out. He could do it, really, no one would stop him, not Ace for sure.
“I would recognize you no matter how many lifetimes we were kept apart in.” Ace says quietly, and it’s really the one answer Michinaga cannot handle.

Certain someone is walking next to him right now. Gentle, patient. Michinaga hadn’t realized just how much he missed Ukiyo Ace being around him, or rather, he hadn’t realized how well he had managed to pretend he didn’t miss Ukiyo Ace being around him.

“That’s…honorable of you.” Michinaga frowns. “Why would you say it’s unfair?”
“Because!” Ace opens his eyes, squeezing Michinaga’s pillow tighter. “Because you make me wanna break that oath, ever since you showed up at the shrine…you make me wish for…”
