    And yet still kept going.

    This is a "what if" route for Re: Zero in the style of the canon if routes. This is based on Thinkmind's "Destroyed if" as well as the story "Incapacitated" by SandwichSage on fanfiction.net

Despite Beatrice never leaving the fake Library he had built her. Despite Emilia depending on him for every question. Despite…dozens, hundreds of defeats. The world had been saved, yes. The people of Lugunica lived better lives. No one starved nor went without house, food or water. But the people whom he had done that for, his camp, his friends, had all faltered to a bad ending.

    And his kingdom, indeed it was his for Emilia would not be able to rule, was doomed to fall after his death. The nobility, having managed to find no moral allies there, was against him. The populace, under the rumour of him having the seven Witches Factor, would cheer his death…

    Oh, look, he was wrong again. Beatrice had left the Library.

    Pretty amazing read, I like the character interactions, honestly must be a pain to write so many of the “same” character. 8/10!
