This leaves his fiancé to handle it, but problems arise when the school and the parents involved are expecting a future Mrs. Redfield, not Mr.

Chris studies Leon’s expression. It stays carefully neutral, but it clashes with how tense his body grows.
“I said a lot of things. You’ll have to be more specific,” says Leon casually.
“How you were tired of fighting, how you didn’t see the point of it all,” says Chris, repeating Leon’s previous words.
Leon clicks his tongue and finally averts his baby blue eyes as he grimaces. “Forget I said that. I was drunk off my ass. It was the booze talking.”
Chris scoffs. “Leon, come on. Don’t bullshit me,” he says firmly.
