Summary

When you've been friends for longer than you've known how to read, it's hard to track exactly when that change occurred. Neither Christian nor Sai noticed when it happened, but it did.

Nick looks at his reflection in the bathroom mirror. He raises his hand to his chin and runs his fingertips over the short hairs, more than the kind of stubble Nick usually has first thing in the morning, but it isn’t quite a full-on beard yet. So yes, it's scratchy, and he probably needs to shave.

Summary
At the sight of freckled cheekbones and amber eyes, Charlie is suddenly transported back to over a decade prior. To the first meeting of a boy with a kind smile and sweet disposition in his form.
“Hi,” Charlie had said as he took his newly assigned seat.
“Hi,” the boy said back, a wary look almost passing his features before it quickly transformed into a polite grin.
Charlie never forgot the butterflies that swarmed his stomach that day.
Those same butterflies come storming back now so fiercely that he nearly keels over from the nausea of it. The jolt of panic, fear, and a little bit of something else that he can’t quite name, hitting him all at once.
Nicholas Nelson, the first boy Charlie ever loved, is standing in his bookshop.
