    Clark did not usually meddle in other people's affairs, except in four cases:

    - The person in question explicitly asked for his help.

    - It was part of his job as a reporter.

    - It was part of his job as Superman.

    - Or Clark simply noticed that the person needed the help, even if they didn't ask for it.

    The last case was related to Bruce Wayne, of all people.
    He hadn't expected to see him so wounded underneath his expensive suits, almost in a way that was unbearable to the human body.
    The last thing I expected was for Batman to be the cause of those injuries. Clark, with all the pain in the world, had to put a stop to it.

    The League was going to make a mockery of this for a long time to come.
