"Fuck," he breathed out, "Ilya, please."
He was thinking about the last time they had been here, four years ago. They'd had a lot of fun, then, but that had also been the first time that Shane consciously realized he wanted something more than just sleeping with Ilya. That he'd wanted the tender, awkward parts too. He'd mourned the kiss they never shared that night.
It wasn't like they hadn't kissed since. Obviously. They were pretty good at kissing, if you asked Shane. It didn't always lead to sex, and he didn't always want it to. Sometimes, he kissed Ilya simply because he couldn't stop himself. He wondered if Ilya ever struggled to stop himself from kissing Shane, too.

About a year after The Cottage, Shane and Ilya went back to Vegas for the MLH awards, which caused a few problems.
Firstly, Shane couldn't stop thinking about the last time they were there, and it was making it very hard (pun intended) for him to focus on anything other than his secret boyfriend.
Secondly, Ilya was all too willing to take full advantage of Shane's oral fixation.
And thirdly, Shane kept wondering about the text he'd nearly sent all those years ago.
