Jason has been left alone all week in Gotham as per Bruce’s wishes and now right at the end of his stint he’s following a drug lead.
it’s something that could blow the case wide open and let him and tim shut the drug ring down completely.
But here comes the justice league. this won’t end well. especially considering they think jason is still on the most wanted list and have no idea about the existence of the batfamily.
OR
jason is left alone in gotham for a week, he goes to follow a drug lead and the jl swoop in and fuck him up.
when bruce gets back from off world he is not happy.

And when Jason pushed aside his obsession with Bruce, the answer was so clear. He knew exactly what he wanted. He knew what he’d always wanted, ever since he was that little street rat who spent money he needed for food on making himself look clean. Because he’d needed to look clean and presentable to get into the public libraries. Because they wouldn’t have let a dirty homeless kid touch the books.
“I want to go to college.”
And Talia had made that happen for him.
(AU where, at the end of his League of Assassins training, Jason decides to go to Metropolis for college instead of going back to Gotham for revenge. Things spiral from there. The title is so sarcastic by the way. There’s nothing regular about Jason Todd.)

Red Hood’s modulated voice is bone-chilling. Nearly every sleaze-bag in Crime Alley had become accustomed to the gravely robotic nature of it. The unnatural shifts in his words and the variations in pitch being just ever so slightly off putting. Borderline uncanny, yet everyone who’s heard it knows there’s a human behind that voice. A man who choses to blow a hole through someone’s skull without so much of an afterthought.
Though, no one had ever heard that voice scream.
Not until tonight.
Or, Red Hood is captured, Nightwing saves him and while helping him afterwards, puts the wrong puzzle pieces together and confronts him which does not go quite how he planned.
