Summary
2004: Jinx Lanes signs her first major league contract with the Zaunite Firelights at just 22. As a rookie pitcher, her game quickly becomes infamous and beloved for her chaotic play-style. She's got grit, she's cocky and she loves to challenge the rules, with all the talent to back it up. Only one thing stands in her way: top pitcher Caitlyn Kiramman—'the Sharpshooter'.
Rivaled against one another, they spent Jinx's first major league career years at the top pitching positions, battling it out for the number one title. It's fun, it's heated and most importantly the fans love it.
When the time comes in 2006 for Caitlyn's contract with the Piltover Paladins to reach its end, questions come on the future of her rivalry with Jinx. Whether it will continue or simmer out is all that's on major league baseball's mind. That is until, they get their answer in the worst way.

“Laudna, you died?”
She knew this, surely? Imogen had been very clear, from the very first time that they met, that every thought in Laudna’s head would work its way into Imogen’s, that she couldn’t control it, that she saw everything even when she didn’t want to. She must have seen this. They’ve been working together to build up Imogen’s mental walls so she can try and block out the thoughts, have been practicing every night. And it’s working! Imogen is very capable.
And she’s said it before, she thinks. She must have. And Imogen has been with her every day for the past two months. What did she think she was looking at?
