Summary
In October of 1969, Gaston and Adam are both living separate lives in New Jersey while the United States continues to send soldiers to fight in the Vietnam War. While Gaston feels compelled to enlist, hoping that by becoming an infantryman, he might finally prove his manhood and earn his father’s love, Adam wants nothing more than to re-enroll at Princeton, especially if returning to being a full-time student would enable him to avoid military service.
As fate would have it, Gaston and Adam both eventually find themselves at Fort Dix where they move through Basic Combat Training together. What starts out as a rivalry slowly develops into an unspoken romantic relationship. For a while, Gaston is able to convince Adam that they will both make it through the overseas conflict unscathed.
But the Enchantress of Fate has other plans.
And Gaston and Adam will both have to face their inner beasts.

Summary
Adam Alexandre Alsace du Maurier lives in a shining castle in France’s countryside. When an old beggar woman comes to Adam’s castle seeking shelter from a winter storm, he turns her away, cold and indifferent to her suffering. After she transforms into a beautiful Enchantress, she strips away Adam’s title and wealth, cursing him to live as a peasant with the hope that he will learn the value of community and kindness.
In a daze, Adam wanders through the woods, the memory of his encounter with the magical woman cloudy and fragmented. When Adam stumbles into a nearby tavern, Gaston Legume, a respected member of the community, offers to take Adam into his home, both to uphold his stellar reputation and to impress the woman he wants to marry.
Life in the village proves to be more difficult than Adam had expected and having a supposed nobleman as a roommate stretches Gaston’s patience to its limits. Through many conflicts and arguments, Gaston and Adam's relationship transforms, first into friendship, and then into something more.
But one night, a shimmering rose blossoms to life in Adam’s mind, and as winter turns to spring, its petals begin to fall, leading Adam to wonder: what will happen once it wilts?

Summary
For months, Belle has worked as a costume designer at the Little Rose Theater Company in Philadelphia. She loves everything about the theater. Everything except the actor who has become a thorn in her side - Adam Boz.
When Belle inadvertently overhears a heated argument between Adam and his parents, she finds out that Adam will be spending Christmas alone. Unable to ignore the new spark of empathy she feels toward him, Belle thinks that she should try to become Adam's friend.
But when she snoops through Adam's belongings and finds a dried rose pressed in between the pages of a well-loved book, Adam lashes out, causing Belle to run from the theater into the cold winter night.
Will Adam be able to apologize? Or will Belle continue to think of him as a beast for all time?

Summary
In a wealthy suburb outside of Philadelphia, Adam Thorn, a wealthy trust fund twenty-something, is transformed into a literal beast for being spoiled, selfish, and, well, kind of an a$$hole. After years of isolation, Adam seeks companionship through Fairy Tale Romance, an online dating website, and meets an extremely handsome, extremely arrogant brewpub owner and self-proclaimed horror movie buff named Gaston.
Too afraid to accept his romantic feelings for Gaston, Adam convinces himself that he needs to find someone else, someone a little less arrogant and a little more empathetic, to break the spell. After all, what could be more important than becoming human again? And so, Adam messages a beautiful and kind bookworm named Belle. Unbeknownst to him, Gaston has also messaged Belle. What a mess.
Gaston is in love with Adam. Adam is in love with Gaston. Both of them are trying to move on from each other by courting Belle.
Idiots.

Summary
Gaston is an up-and-coming actor in need of an agent, and Adam is a successful agent in need of fresh talent. Seems like the perfect match. Until Adam finds himself very attracted to the arrogant but strangely charming actor during his agent interview and panics because it would be inappropriate to date a client. The professional thing to do would just be to reject him, and then they can see each other romantically, right? But Gaston’s inflated pride doesn’t take too kindly to being rejected, and Adam has a beastly temper that doesn’t take too kindly to being challenged. It looks pretty hopeless for him to land Gaston as a client or a boyfriend, until they find themselves in the same group of friends at Disneyland together.
