“So, America… Just what are we doing here? You called for us, did you not?”
At the head of the room, America stood loud and proud with his hands on his hips. “Hell yeah I did! I have something incredible to show you guys!”
Japan looked exasperated already, cocking his head to the side. “Well, are you planning on telling us what it is?”
“Yeah. But we gotta wait for everyone else to show up. But just trust me, it’s totally gonna blow your minds!”
Germany wasn’t so sure that claim was going to hold up.
Or: America calls for a world meeting one day, with nothing but nonsense in his request. What's the big deal? Apparently, aliens have been watching them for years without their knowledge. Might as well join them, right?
Or or: the G8 and a few other characters react to Hetalia (the anime sub specifically). I can't find any decent or completed reaction fics in this fandom, so I've taken it upon myself to write one. I most likely will be adding more characters to this and tweaking a few things, so I'll make sure to point that out if it ever happens! Enjoy :9

“But then,” Lance teased, “I wouldn’t have my alpha in shining armor running to my rescue, now would I?”
Oops—Lance realized belatedly that he might have overplayed his hand as Keith’s incredulous violet eyes swept back to him.

Summary
Keith will admit that the study has looked better — they’d been relegated to one shared desk after… activities broke their second one, and so the already massive piles they dealt with individually seemed even more so, stacked precariously on opposite ends. All Lance’s books and bits and bobs had to be emptied and removed, placed in little trunks scattered around the perimeter — Keith couldn’t fathom how he’d managed to cram so many things into a few small compartments, but Lance was a man capable of many things.
Chief among them, making Keith feel like a smear on the bottom of his shoe when he glared like that, his lovely eyebrows furrowed and his perfect mouth tilted into a frown.
“I am pregnant, not incapable,” he snaps.
Keith holds his hands up, appeasing.

“Did they really call you bug boy?” he finally asks. Lance squeezes his eyes shut, hands stilling on Mr. Snuggles’ head. Mr. Snuggles clicks his fangs at him affectionately, before carefully climbing off his lap until he settles snugly beside him.
“Yeah,” Lance whispers. He musters a smile, somehow, trying to diffuse the situation before he cracks. “I didn’t actually mind that one, though. Of all the names they gave me, bug boy was my favourite. I didn’t even know it was an insult until Hunk told me, ha. I thought it was a compliment.”
Pidge looks stricken. “They called you names?”
“A couple,” Lance says, shrugging. Shit shit shit. This is getting worse.
