Summary
He can’t breathe.
The tail yanks, and suddenly his back is slamming into the hard ground, the impact detonating every wound. He feels it all, and it’s agony. Ripping, shredding. The worst pain he’s ever known.
His heart stutters and kicks in his chest as his mind screams at him to get back up, to run, to do anything to survive; but he can’t. He’s pinned down, spread eagle on the dead ground, a storm of wings and teeth closing in.
Red lightning flashes above him, bathing everything in crimson, reminding him that he is in literal Hell.
He’s being eaten alive, and all he can think as the pain starts to blur is, I’m not ready.
Please. Not like this. Not now.
Please.
And then, from somewhere above all the madness that has become Eddie’s entire existence, a shape plunges into the wild fray. A human shape. An avenging angel, wielding a weathered baseball bat filled with bloody nails like it's a prayer in the dark.
An answer to his silent plea.
Steve.
OR:
Eddie Munson survives the bats.
Steve Harrington helps him learn to live again.

Prompt fulfillment. A very, very late prompt fulfillment.
"I'd just been craving a story where Robb lives (~total hand wave as to how haha~) and does take the north as king, but he never married because he's fought for so long and so hard and he deserves his prize; Jon, who he now knows is his cousin. This more ruthless and less happy Robb has lost a lot in the war, and he's now not willing to hold back his desires. He calls for Jon from the Wall and excuses him from his duty (kings can do that!!!) and makes him his consort and names Bran (?) his heir."Robb is brought back to life instead of Catelyn and uses the opportunity to take back the North and seek revenge against his enemies. When he succeeds, he decides he needs a reward.

“Oh he’s not my dog,” she tries to wave her hand dismissively and realizes she’s encumbered by the stuffed full tote, “he’s my friend Steve’s dog.”
Eddie blinks slowly.
“Your friend Steve, named his dog...Steve?”
The dog sighs. It’s loud enough that Eddie looks down at the dog instead. It lets it’s tongue flop out of it’s mouth; it looks like it’s grinning.
