After a few more agonizing seconds during which Peter weighs the possibilities that he just gave his mentor and the savior of the world a heart attack, Mr. Stark looks up at him, eyes suddenly wide.
A beat passes.
"What's your teacher's name again?"
AKA, Ryland Grace and Tony Stark hooked up in college. This is fine, until 20 years later, Peter Parker gets involved. It's all downhill from there.

A see-through man, but a man nonetheless. Peter yelps, stumbling back and almost falling back into the sink. He barely manages to catch himself on the edge of the counter as he looks up at the man with wide eyes.
"What's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost, darlin'." He drawls, and his southern accent almost makes Peter swoon. Almost. Because he's better than that. Not much. But better.

The figure of a man, fuzzy like a shadow. Broad shoulders, the outline of muscles, traced with glowing ink like chemiluminescence. It pulsed through their veins like slimy green plasma and fizzed at their fingertips. They squeezed their hand and a glob of something—blood, maybe—convulsed through their forearm.
Two burning eyes stared back - pupils lost in a sea of green flames.
Peter’s throat constricted like a cobra had wrapped itself around it and squeezed. Short breaths left his throat in erratic intervals.
“What the fuck,” Peter breathed, sitting up from his bed. Cold nipped at his skin like tiny bites, summoning goosebumps across his legs and chest. “What - get out of my house.”
The figure didn’t move.

Or: When Tim is 11 he figures it’s not hurting anyone if he. Ya know. Takes a picture in the Batmobile. But then the power goes to his head and all of a sudden he’s hacking the Batmobile and tearing through Gotham on a rescue mission.
