Leon’s calloused hands reached his neck as he ran his hand along the dark bruise like lines that were growing up his neck. The navy blue turtleneck he was wearing barely covered it and well.. I could still see it anyway. He just shook his head, his lips pressing together as he grinned, just a touch. Gearing up to say something sarcastic, he always made the same expression. His eyes narrowed and he grinned further just enough to see his teeth. “Oh.. you know,” He paused, biting his bottom lip before starting to speak again, “Other than the impending sense of doom I feel every morning? Perfect.” I just scoffed at him, not trying to give away my amusement as his horrible and ill conceived joke. “You really think that’s funny?” I spouted finally, as I rose to my feet. Moving over to him and standing directly in front of his chair at his legs. He looked to be thinking, tapping his chin. Trying to seem like he didn’t already have an answer. He was messing with me. “I do, Chris. I really do.”
Jokes can't save you from the inevitable, can they? Leon?

Leon looked better.
Leon looked better. His hair was clean, his breath didn't reek of booze, the bags under his eyes weren't nearly as dark as they were back in New York.
Leon had looked better - so why, why, why why why why is Chris peeling his best friend off the cold ground, dirt sticky with a mix of Leon's blood and vomit, the stench of alcohol permeating the air around his limp body.

His fingers twitched erratically as he clicked his teeth impatiently. "Oh, but you will," Leon taunted in a tone so unlike him.

Summary
„How long can we keep on doing this?”, Leon's voice echoed through the empty hallway, one hand heavily leaning against an open doorframe... he knew this question was futile, knew that they in fact wouldn’t be able to keep on going like that for much longer. Chris gently put an arm around Leon's fragile frame, earning him a grunt from the slightly smaller man.
„I hope long enough to get you some breakfast, old man”, he smiled, though his eyes told the story of pain and frustration. What was supposed to be a regular mission turned out to be a catastrophe – something the two of them should have been used to by now, still, it caught them by surprise. Leon coughed up a laugh, bubbly and broken from the blood that slowly started puddling in his mouth.

He shuffled towards the bathroom, rubbing a hand over his face. His reflection in the mirror over the sink looked worse than he felt, pale, hair sticking up in every direction and dark circles under his eyes turning the skin almost purple. He tore his gaze away and turned on the sink, splashing cold water onto his face.
When he let his arms drop, he noticed something on his right hand. A small bruise had started to form. And then he started coughing again.

After the mission Chris had pulled him into, Leon was not doing fine. The ghosts of his past came back to haunt him more than before, and he could feel himself slipping. At least he had a mini-fridge waiting for him back at the hotel, something to drown it all out and forget the pain.But Chris was not letting it go. He kept pushing, kept demanding answers, kept trying to pull Leon back into reality when Leon wasn’t sure he wanted to be there.
Why was everyone so persistent in trying to help him? Why was Chris so angry with him?
Leon didn’t know. And for the first time, he wasn’t sure he wanted to find out.

Carefully, quietly, knowing that Dean will kill him if he wakes up, Sam eases out of his own jacket and drapes it over his brother's sleeping frame.
He holds his breath when Dean stirs, mumbling something in his sleep, before he hunkers down in Sam's jacket, tugging it tighter over his shoulders. He doesn't wake up.
Sam sighs, and starts the car. He turns the heater on as warm as he can stand, and pulls them back out onto the road.
