It was a collar. Colored the same dark teal Zanka wore and adorned with a tassel much too similar to Zanka's own. It was a symbol that Jabber was Zanka's and exclusively his.
"The hell?" Jabber finally notices, looking down to see what was secured around his neck, "I asked you about—"
"Bark, doggy."

Summary
What if Tanjiro once got lost in the woods when he was young? What if a certain Upper Moon was wandering around the mountainside during that time? What if his cold heart was a little warmer and more willing to tolerate something that looked so much like his younger brother? Enter Upper Moon 1 deciding to kidnap little Tanjiro and bring him to the Infinity Castle, Akaza as a very reluctant babysitter, and two black and teal-haired twins eventually coming into the picture as well.
