If he were still in the habit of keeping a detailed medical logbook, Crocus would have started this past week’s entries with the line: I seem to have lost my little-remaining sanity.
In a span of six days, he’s gone from being alone with Laboon and his lighthouse duties, to a full inundation of teenagers and children claiming to be mentally adults (with hardly a lick of maturity or good manners to be seen), one functioning vessel beside the ramshackle remnants of what essentially amounted to a raft of scrap metal and sailcloth (which of course fell to pieces the moment they came screaming down the long slope of Reverse Mountain), and his own awakened memories of a future which has not yet come to pass, and now likely won’t, thanks to meddling from his aforementioned ‘guests’.
It’s the most entertainment he’s had in years.

Summary
Noctis awoke all at once. Something was wrong. He was cold. His shirt was gone. He was hanging from a metal strut, his arms forced uncomfortably above him. He could see his bare feet dangling just above the cold cement floor. Wherever he was, he knew one thing. He had been taken.
When though?
Noctis tried to think back to his last memories. At first there was nothing, then a small churn of nausea filled his gut and he remembered. He had been at the arcade. With Prompto. Eating pizza and drinking enough coke to give Ignis an aneurysm.
They had finished eating and finally gotten to play the newest Dead Again V game that Prompto had been wanting to try for ages. It hadn’t been long until an uncomfortable heat crept across Noct’s face and a strange dizziness overtook him. Nausea hit him full force, and suddenly his character was dead onscreen.
”Dude, I know you’re not that bad at shooters,” Prompto said, chortling. “If you really didn’t want to play the game, you could have just watched.”
