Miu only seems more apprehensive as she slides in, hands fidgeting on the seatbelt. Maki gives her a side eye as she takes out her key.
“I know it’s old. It still runs fine.”
“I-I don’t give a shit about that,” Miu responds at once, though her voice is almost… weaker than usual. Maki frowns, studying Miu’s expression, the way her blue eyes dart about and refuse to focus on anything in particular, then looks forward again.
“...Did I upset you that badly? I don’t actually care if you want to help with the party or not.”
“I don’t give a shit about that either!” Miu snaps, at least a little louder now. Maki presses her lips together with distaste, and Miu seems to wither despite Maki not saying anything. “S-Seriously… I just…” Her hands creep down to the hem of her skirt, and she fidgets with it, averting her gaze. Maki frowns at her, trying to decide if she cares enough to ask. She sort of does, which is the more annoying part. Maybe Kaito really is getting to her.

Maki and Miu are volunteered to do a last minute egg run preparing for a surprise party for Kaede. Miu's strange behaviour around cars only makes the task more complicated.

It was a known fact in Class 76 that Harukawa hated Ouma, and to be fair, most people did. He was annoying, rude, and lied like he breathed. However, the Ultimate Child Caregivers hate for him was so strong it was almost palpable, and absolutely no one could figure out what had caused such conflict between the two. Even both Ultimate Detective’s wouldn’t touch that mystery with a 10ft pole, it wasn’t worth the stress nor the reward nor the glares from the girl in red or the lies from the boy in white.
And so, it stayed as a mystery.
