The idea of marrying a mysterious man, who may be attractive, might possibly be pleasant and fair, and be a delight to be around is nothing but wishful thinking. It is something that little girls dream of and never grow out of and end up being let down. I wasn't one of those women.
I was preparing myself for the worst, and if that meant being pessimistic then so be it. I was going to make their lives as hard as possible, even if it means making mine miserable in the process.
