“W’s… What…” Stiles’ voice slurred, “Dad– … forgot-me.” His head slammed back down into the carpet.
Noah stared down at him like he’d failed as a parent, “Get the hell up, kid. You’ve got school. Against your most hopeful belief, summer didn’t last forever.” Stiles felt sick. He couldn’t do this shit. “You’re a Sophomore, now, kid,” the Sheriff said, a little louder, nudging Stiles with his foot, “Don’t make me regret teaching you to drive. I’m not helping you get to school anymore. It’s time to grow up.”
His voice was fading, his footsteps creaking away, and Stiles just huffed as he muttered into the dust floating past him, little sunbeams shooting past his head, “I did the growing up already.”
“And stop wasting my printer ink!” Noah called out as he left, “That crap isn’t cheap!”

Stiles' spark fucks with the magic of the Ghost Riders and catapults him back to the day Scott got bit. Stranded in the past, the only way to ease his endless guilt is to try his damn best to fix it all. With... varying degrees of success.

“Have you ever heard of the butterfly effect?”
Stiles looked up and shook his head. “No… what is it?”
“It’s the idea that the smallest of situations, can set the biggest consequences in motion. A butterfly flapping it’s wings on one side of the world, creates a hurricane on the other.”
He nodded, that’s exactly how this situation sounds right now. If he and Scott never went out that fateful night and looked for that body, or if he and Derek never became friends, or hell, if he never agreed to Deatons plan in the first place… then none of this would be happening.
But fuck it, ‘caution’ isn’t in his vocabulary.
