Ennoshita had to throw them off his scent.
Only 48 hours ago he'd been a regular student at Seijoh U. Now he was on a train headed north - a ticket he'd bought with cash - while his phone was on a train going south leading them far away from him (Hopefully).

He was hoping to reach Fukurodani before his phone was discovered (without him). What he didn't know that reaching the reserves would be his true salvation, where he can hide with the pack he didn't know existed, and didn't know he was apart of.
Luckily the Karasuno pack is used to Runaways. And a wolf called Tanaka is happy to protect their newest member.

Summary
The Earth Kingdom has fallen and the Avatar is dead. With Sozin's Comet approaching and the Fire Nation getting closer to victory, they celebrate their triumph and the return of the prince they believed dead three years ago.
In contrast, the rest of the world mourns the loss of their last hope, killed by the Fire Nation princess, if the rumors are to be believed. A lucky few know better than that, helping the Avatar recover so he can rejoin the fight in enemy territory.
